DIRECTOR

36 hours full time

Ref: DR

Salary: £50,000 per annum starting salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Hilda’s East Community Centre, a long established and vibrant voluntary sector organisation in the East End of London. We are seeking a new Director to take the organisation forward, following the retirement of the current post holder. The successful candidate will have previous lead management experience and knowledge of the voluntary sector or community centre field. The person will be able to combine leadership skills and drive with an approachable and open management style.

St Hilda’s East is an award winning multi-purpose community centre in Tower Hamlets, providing a wide range of services and opportunities – from children, youth activities, free Legal Advice, a Food Co-op, to care for older people. We work with local people of all ages to combat the challenges arising from deprivation and social exclusion. We are currently celebrating our 130th anniversary! Our organisation has seen a lot of changes in its history and we are now planning for the future.

The present Director will be retiring at the end of March and ideally we would like the successful candidate to be either in post early enough for this or able to be available for a detailed handover to take place.

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about our community!
