Join us on Thursday, 7th March 2019 to celebrate International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day has always been a central focus of the community events that we showcase. This year, we continue to adapt the colour orange as initiated by the UN to symbolise our solidarity and respect for all women across the world.
The day will be open to all women and from 11:00 – 12:30 for men too. The schedule is as follows:
- 11:00 – participants to enter “Orange Food” for judging
- 11:00 – Beauty Treatments by London East (please book at desk)
- 11:30 – Reading of “Phenomenal Women” by Maya Angelou
- 12:15 – “Orange Food” cooking competition judging
- 12:20 – Announcement for “Best Orange Outfit”
- 12:30 – Lunch (small charge)
- 13:00 – WOMEN ONLY FROM THIS POINT ON
- 13:15 – Belly Dancing
- 14:00 – Balloon release in garden
