St. Hilda’s East Brave Girls

Brave Girls is a youth group in east London that meets every Thursday from 5–7pm. Named by its members, it provides a safe, fun, and supportive space for girls to explore, develop, and grow as confident, resilient individuals.

The group works with our youth team to plan activities that are relevant and engaging, helping participants build friendships and life skills. Activities include arts and crafts, movie and pizza nights, dance and drama workshops, social action projects, and wellbeing sessions.

Through these activities, girls spend time with positive role models, gain confidence, and are supported in their personal growth and decision-making. The programme also aims to steer young people away from anti-social behaviours and encourage positive community involvement.

We’re proud to work with partners such as Sadler’s Wells and London Sport to provide creative and active opportunities that inspire our young people to be strong, brave, and connected.

Brave Girls is free to attend. We’d love you to join us, please contact Christine for more information [email protected]

In partnership: We are proud to work with partner organisations to maximise opportunities for our young people such as Sadler’s Wells and London Sports.

“I was very shy and didn’t talk except to my close friends due to lock down and St Hilda’s Girls’ Project has re-introduced me to socialising and making new friends.”

“During my lowest state of mental health, the project provided a safe place to express myself and regain my confidence and I would not be where I am today without the support of the project.”
