Help transform lives in the community

St. Hilda’s East is a vibrant, independently run local charity which has been supporting the Tower Hamlets community for 135 years.

At St. Hilda’s East we are rooted in our heritage, and we honour the legacy of doing right by our local community. To keep our community centre running, each year we need to raise £635,000 just to keep the lights on, and to keep delivering the engaging activities and promoting the social contact that ultimately enriches lives.

We believe that everyone in Tower Hamlets deserves to be happy and have the same opportunities to grow, develop and achieve their potential. Our strength lies in our diversity, helping to meet the evolving needs of local people and supporting their aspirations.

Our programmes are wide-ranging, for all ages, backgrounds and faiths, and all are completely free to the community. Without the help of our Friends and Supporters this would simply not be sustainable.
