💪 Getting Stronger, Feeling Better: Nicole’s 💪 Getting Stronger, Feeling Better: Nicole’s Story

Nicole has been attending our Seated Exercise class since it began. She joined to get fit in company, and along the way has discovered many benefits.

“The class has something for everyone. It’s friendly and the instructor will help tailor it to each person’s different needs,” Nicole shared.

Since starting, Nicole feels fitter, more energetic, and stronger in everyday life. Her back has improved, she can now lift heavier items and even open jam jars with ease. She can walk briskly for the bus – and is even thinking she might start running soon!

Seated Exercise is more than just a class. It’s about staying strong, active, and independent as we age. Strength training helps maintain muscle, protect bones, improve balance, and boost energy levels. It also supports heart health, lowers the risk of falls, and can even lift mood and improve sleep.

Part of our Over 50s Feeling Good initiative, these sessions take place at St. Hilda’s East Community Centre. They’re set to uplifting music, use light weights, and most importantly, offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can join in at their own pace.

Nicole’s story shows the real difference that staying active can make in daily life.
