St. Hilda’s East has been serving the Tower Hamlets community for 135 years

Supporting our 135th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign

2024 sees St. Hilda’s East celebrating an amazing 135 years in the Tower Hamlets community, with opportunities throughout the year to join the celebrations and support our work. In April we launched our Friends of St Hilda’s East scheme as part of our 135th celebration event; attended by our service users, supporters, funders, staff, trustees and volunteers.

Keep up to date on all our anniversary activities and events via our website and social media – and since word of mouth is a powerful tool, please share amongst your friends as we come together to celebrate our heritage.

Our last milestone year in 2019 included street parties, a sponsored walk, inter-generational games, a football tournament and a memorable gala dinner. We were thrilled to raise over £125,000 in that, our 130th anniversary year.

Our goal for this year is to surpass that total and raise at least £135,000 – 135 for 135!

If you would like to be part of the journey towards our goal, you can support our work by making a donation via our charitable donation link, by participating in activities or events, or through volunteering your time. No amount of money or time is too small, and our work is only possible because of the generous community support we receive throughout the year.

Thank you for your support – it makes a huge difference.

How to get involved in our 135 Fundraising Campaign

In celebration of St Hilda’s East’s 135th anniversary, we’re launching a special online community fundraising campaign to raise £135,000.

We’re calling on our supporters to join us by raising funds through participating in an activity of their choice, while incorporating the numbers 1, 3, and 5. Perhaps you could raise funds from skipping 135 times a day, baking 135 cupcakes and selling them, doing 135 squats in a week or walking 13.5 kilometres over a weekend. The options are endless!

This campaign will be both a celebration of 135 years and a crucial fundraiser to support our ongoing programs. Thank you for joining us as we chart the course for our next 135 years!
