women’s yoga in east London meets every Thursday 10am – 11am

Our women’s yoga in east London is a relaxed and restorative yoga class for all abilities.​​

Women’s yoga brings together diverse women with mental health needs in Tower Hamlets for a gentle yoga session. The sessions is every Thursday 10-11am at St Hilda’s Community Centre, 18 Club Row E2 7EY.​

Women’s yoga is free to join and open to women in Tower Hamlets who are experiencing mental health issues. We will ask you to also register with Mind in Tower Hamlets, Redbridge and Newham when you join come to our yoga group. ​

This woman only session creates a place of safety for women who may have life experiences which mean they need the safety of a women only group to participate in exercise for wellbeing such as yoga.​

Women’s Yoga runs weekly and focuses on improving mental wellness through physical activity, as well as encouraging women to adopt mindfulness practices to support their daily living. Women get to move their body, develop a new skill and create social connections with people in their community. Women’s Yoga exists to boost physical and mental wellness and motivate people to make healthy living choices. ​

Women’s Yoga provides an opportunity and space for women to socialise with other members of their community, as well as participate in a physical activity proven to have a positive impact on overall mental wellbeing. ​

Our Yoga Instructor is qualified in the practice and has delivered the sessions since the group’s establishment. She ensures that the sessions accommodates all levels, from beginner to advanced, and takes into consideration any physical needs or ailments service users have. This has fostered a space that is inclusive and safe to all. ​

We provide this in partnership with Mind Tower Hamlets, Newham & Redbridge as part of our adult wellbeing services to local residents who want to improve their mental wellbeing having experienced poor mental health.
